tuesday afternoon thoughts...

lower your standards...
lower your expectations...
you are too idealistic...

how do you get perspective on your ideals, standards and expectations? how can you tell if they are too high or too low? how can you be sure that you have lost your sense of reality and just exist in a fake bubble of a world built out of ideals? how do you humbly take a step back to get a handle on your standards, expectations, and ideals without giving up on the whole thing? without responding with such frustration and saying "you just don't get it" "you have lowered your standards/ideals/expectations to far" "don't you remember when you were like this" ?

maybe when you find your self alone or seemingly so, its an opportunity to rise above and push forward in a way you would never have done if everyone was with you...

or

maybe in reality, when you find yourself alone, you are more apt to change to easily coexist, give up and stop striving or just not care anymore about your ideals, standards and expectations...
